STORIES FROM THE STREETS #2

In my humble opinion, the winter eventides carry the most picturesque and tranquilizing moments, mankind can ever witness. The subtle rays of the sun from the horizon, when, make their way through the thick foliage and the frosty dusk air to those quaint, black streets ; the mere sight is a joy unparalleled.

 WHY you ask me!

It was one of those winter evenings and I was walking down the same street, wondering what does it mean to live life to the fullest, what is it that brings ultimate joy to self and lo! My brain was overflowing with all the trivial things I could ever think of! Keen over-thinker, you see:-P

At that moment, several screeching horns somewhere behind me, made the wheels of my mind halt and as I looked behind,I witnessed a collision (OF THOUGHTS).

There were several people on their vehicles, blocking out all sounds by blowing out all horns, waiting with anxious faces. And in front of them, was this lean, old man surrounded by his cattle (of cows and goats), walking slowly, humming songs as if directing those unaware creatures to their destination. He was observing the fret of people towards him but in return gifted them wide-smiled greetings!

Gradually, he made his way out of the cacaphony, but left an idea and a thought of, "BEING PRESENT, IN THE MOMENT!"

And now I wonder, perhaps, to absorb every inch of everything that the moment has to offer and to acknowledge every feeling you go through, might be synonymous to living life to the fullest!

"YOU DON'T WANDER, YOU JUST BE!"

P.S.- The horizon at dusk looked splendid that day. It does everyday:-)
